Lavish lyrics
“Lavish”
Intro
This song is for anyone and everyone, so if you’re listening, this one’s for you
Verse 1
To the people in my life that I’ve met and seen
The living God is with us let me set the scene
No matter what you’ve done no matter where you’ve been
God’s greater than sin let Him take you in
I offer this song as a humble voice
To let you know you still have a choice
It’s clear that God’s here and His love is lavish
It’s open to you if you choose to have it
To the marriage struggling fight after fight
Forgiveness brings light to the darkest night
To the cop on the job seeing daily evil
God loves this world and its crazy people
To the women with children who never made it
God feels your pain when your heart is breaking
To the sons on the run having prodigal fun
The choice to go home is still the logical one
To the missionary couple with a heart for orphans
God provides where He guides He’ll start endorsing
To the youth pastors trying to figure this out
Know that true faith is much bigger than doubt
To the seasoned saint who’s heard it all before
Christ still satisfies when you’re wanting more
To the student in college stacking up knowledge
Build your house on the Rock cuz the Rock is solid
Chorus
No matter who you are or where you’ve been
No matter what you’ve seen despite all your sin
God’s still with us He’s in complete control
Trust in Him He can make you whole
And all your heartbreaks heartaches and hard days
Give it all to Him cuz it’s our souls that He weighs
As daily struggles continue happenin’
Remember that His love is lavish
Verse 2
To the broken homes scarred by divorce
You’re never alone and God is the source
All the guys on the grind working nine to five
God’s grace ain’t earned no need to strive
To the suits and ties eying dollar signs
Heavenly treasure never declines
To the rappers on stage not paid for shows
Make sure you spit truth in all of your flows
To the nurse who works five days a week
The great physician is who you should seek
To the truckers on the road always leaving home
God rides by your side no matter where you roam
To the people in the street just trying to eat
Even the Son of God had no place to sleep
To the weak and the lame in a hospital bed
On the Red Cross healing blood was shed
Verse 3
To the skeptic kept out by pride or doubt
God is way too big to figure all the way out
To the foster kid who wants to be adopted
Father God loves you and He’s always watching
To the youth group kid hanging with the wrong friends
You are who you’re with when it comes to the end
To the girl who needs a boyfriend to feel complete
Compared to Jesus no man competes
To the kid with a wish but is scared to move
Place faith in God and you cannot lose
To the hotshot jock who thinks he’s all that
God humbles the proud and makes them fall back
To the high school teen with work to do
Let the Lord finish His work in you
To the soldier in the field fighting overseas
God is a warrior with only victories
Outro
Yes I have loved you with an everlasting love therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you
God knows you better than anyone
Yet at the same time He loves you better than anyone
That’s amazing love His love is lavish choose to have it
