MENTAL MISFIT

Verse 1

I've been a mental misfit ever since an infant 30 years later ain't

too much as different spitting with tenacity my little brother asking me Kyle

why you such a beast I

told him cuz I have to be I

can't live casually the gospel has captured me I'm locked on the Lord

no temptation is trapping me but why record a rhapsody and hand it out

actively cuz this the type of hustle that made them all pass on me

I'm passing them out till I

pass out I'm not a famous rapper and I

don't have clout but I

have a mouth that means I

have a voice and you've got a pair of ears so that means

you've got a choice join me on this mission share this music with a friend but if

Hook

you only listen that's enough in the end join me on this mission

share this with a friend but if you only listen that's enough in the end

Verse 2

born a mental misfit instrumental pick six intercepted your attention but you must

have missed it if you're still addicted here I

got your quick fix no I'm not talking about an option that's mystic

don't make the mistake of thinking I'm cryptic to those who have ears

let them hear listen

listen Christ put the red in the word redemption take note that I

said no soul has exemption bloodstains on his grace that's a filthy protection

he carved a thousand bars on my heart telemark my obsession no pearly

gates just a pearl of great price justified by faith now I

can walk without sight no greater day than the one that he made

no greater price than the one that he paid no greater dragon than the one that he

slayed but the grave is just a worm in the world that he

made our culture these days wants to paint the truth gray they claim that the truth

is whatever you say don't get it twisted yeah let's get it straight

though I think of God's covenants when I

see a rainbow they can't change that even if it's on the flag

Verse 3

God made it first and there's no tape bags now let's take it back to the gift that he

gave me I've been writing raps so I

don't go crazy but it's deeper than that Jesus said obey me I

give thanks every day even when there's no gravy homie don't play me

you think that you're going hard people die for their faith think you

would go that far huh man yeah I

had to think about it too ah man I

don't know about you we got it so good in the West in America

Chipotle at the church with nobody scaring ya well I

guess that's food for thought persecution shows us who is soft
