A Boy in Class (feat. Tony Perone)

Verse 1

A boy in class asked me one time what do we really need to know

Know Jesus I told him and be ready to get low

Don't settle for McJobs or a video game reel Don't settle for dying

flesh Look beyond your next meal Go strong go big go true

Go to the one who loves you We are not of the night

we are not of the dark We have through Christ Jesus an everlasting

spark We all got ego issues our balloon of pride It drifts high

We're gonna get low soon I

told him That's no lie Look we're all gonna die

That's just a well known fact But not everyone lives before they take a dirt

nap There's no evolution no science in that spiel but salvation

redemption life everlasting that's real People wanna tell you you're dreaming

just wishing for heaven to be true But the crucifixion that was God

dying for us reaching down to lift up our dying skin from the dust I

say let us drink from his cup There are lots of things to know I

told the boy who asked But here's what you need Joe

Verse 2

Know God's love and know it fast Know Jesus know freedom to be

what you should be Know Jesus and love son and find heaven's glory

There's a peace that passes anything this world gives There's a joy in knowing

Jesus and knowing he truly lives

Find life beyond the clay let ambition and pride go

Pick up the good book and pray to see God in all you

know Great minds great hearts great souls know there's no greater love

it's true than the one that Christ holds in his nail pierced hands for you
