Cold Hard Truth

“Cold Hard Truth” by K-Low

We’ve got cold hard truth as Christians

Jesus said in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life”

Let’s give Him our lives

Verse 1

Cold hard truth yeah that’s what we bring

Our God has chosen the foolish things

Like David and Goliath God’s power seen

Through a weak shepherd boy slaying a Philistine

I’m no longer a slave to that worldly stuff

Christ broke my chains and released my cuffs

Took me off the road and into His home

Gave me a family I can call my own

For He loves me and has preordained

Me as a prophet to proclaim His name

To reach a world that’s fading away

I hope you know Him before that day

Now I’m the clay and God is the potter

He gives the increase I just plant and water

Jesus died on the cross to set y’all free

He’s my Lord and Savior and He rescued me

Chorus

Cold hard truth it’s what we’re bringing

Cold hard truth it’s what we’re singing

Cold hard truth it’s what we’re rapping

Cold hard truth in case you’re asking

Verse 2

Crack open the word like soda pop

And I keep on reading and I just can’t stop

And I gotta stay ready and stay on top

And I’m sowing the seed I’m gonna reap a crop

Not planting trees, I’m just planting seeds

Trust that God will give the increase

I won’t give up and I won’t cease

Man I’m hard at work like elbow grease

I want you to know salvation comes

When you accept Jesus His amazing love

He will bring you peace like a dove

Hide yourself in Him like hand in glove

Live on the word from His mouth

And I’m a Bible nerd and I check it out

And I learn what it’s about

Yo it’s preferred and I’m going to shout

Verse 3

It’s Jesus Christ who I’m reppin’

I grab my weapon

And I get to stepping

Soldier in His army Biblical status

His word sends Satan running when he’s coming at us

I’m bringing these lines one step at a time

Like I’m running this race in my spiritual prime

Some Christians out there claim they know the Lord

But they go through life moping around bored

The cause of this effect is simple man

If you’re feeling dry bro follow God’s commands

Jesus said if we love Him we’ll do what He says

Where do you find this I’ll give you one guess

It’s all in the Bible

If it’s been a while

Then read it every day put it on ya file

The Holy Spirit will teach it to ya

The Holy Spirit will preach it through ya
