Street Rap

Street Rap by K-Low

Yeah, it's a rap for the streets.

Yeah, alright, here we go.

Verse 1

Yeah, here we are now when we're in the streets

And we're spitting raps and dropping beats.

We're drawing a crowd and now they're taking the seat.

We're bringing good news with beautiful feet.

Watch it now as it sinks in

Like moisturizer when it hits the skin.

Living water washing away my sin.

I'm no longer ashamed of where I've been.

Looking for a now new point of view.

My chains are in Christ, I'm stuck with Him like glue.

I once was old but have been made new.

Listen my friend, Jesus loves you.

When He wants to save you from the pit of hell.

God's love is serious, can't you tell?

So serious that He went to a cross.

Three nails, crowns of thorns, and massive blood loss.

Hook

Yeah, here we are now in the streets.

And we're spitting raps and dropping beats.

We're drawing a crowd and now they're taking the seat.

We're bringing good news with beautiful feet.

Verse 2

The necessity for the Christ to suffer.

Took the hit for us, a universal buffer.

Lifted us up from the fall.

Was the atonement, once for all.

And that's the good news of living hope.

Christ washed away sin like dial soap.

So get dialed in, get off the slippery slope.

Stand firm on the rock, just let go of the rope.

And leave the world behind and join the flock.

Of the sheep who follow God and not Tupac or 50 Cent.

Yo, they need to repent and accept the Savior who was the one that was sent.

It was a lamb slain without spot.

Perfect sacrifice, now I've been bought.

Purchased by the blood of Christ with life abundant.

That's the truth and it ain't redundant.

Verse 3

You see, at one time I was far off.

Spiritually sick, worse than just a cough.

For if you sin, you deserve death.

That's what the Holy Bible says.

But I've been saved and let Jesus steer.

Was once far off, but have been made near.

Found in Ephesians 2:13.

God is rich in mercy, can't be bought with green.

It's a free gift, God freely gave it.

All you gotta do is reach out and take it.

Jesus died and rose from the grave.

Call out to God and be saved.

And that's in Romans chapter 10.

If you don't believe me, see Nick Stockman.

New living way, accept the invitation.

My God wants to save this dying generation.

We're bringing good news with beautiful feet.
